Product and Project Manager, Home Director Products.
- Working with teams in the U.S. and Canada, helped develop the Canadian market for home networking and automation
products. Activities included product development, dealer support and product education, marketing,
presentations and press interviews.
- Designed, built and staffed technologically advanced trade show booth, portable display kiosk, and several
mobile demonstration vehicles.
- Developed and manufactured the Home Director Controller, a major component of IBM’s Home Director
offering. Activities included coordinating the U.S. development team, worldwide suppliers and local
manufacturing. Timeliness ensured a successful Home Director launch.
- Worked with the Canadian marketing team to ensure that the above offering could be sold in Canada.
- Provided technical support to IBM Global Services’ “Smart Homes” group and provided an interface to PSG.
- Measurements - created Canadian home networking market, a profitable business with annual
growth rates of 50- 100%.
Systems Engineer and Product Safety Coordinator, Ambra Canada Products.
- Managed the Ambra Canada Development Lab producing over 160 models of Personal Computer. This lab
prototyped hardware and software configurations, developed the preload image, provided manufacturing
instructions and wrote the user guides.
- Acted as product quality liaison between Ambra brand organization and various contract manufacturers.
- Provided pre- and post- sale 2nd level technical support and training.
- As PSG Product Safety Coordinator, ensured that OEM and Ambra products met IBM Canada and
government product safety and RF emissions requirements. Developed the Product Safety Process to be used
by the entire Personal Systems Group.
- Hired and managed co-op students, some of whom became IBM employees after graduation.
- Measurements - contributed to revenue results of $13 million, a compounded growth rate of 12%.

- Coordinated technical international activities launching the Ambra North America Corporation (an IBM sub)
